| Piligrimage |
Even since the birth of Vedas Hindu Mythology says that visiting and worshipping the God in his place of prominence is considered a great virtue for man.
Pilgrimage darshan (visiting a place of God’s abode) is really no doubt, a boom for the man who struggles for his mere existence on earth. In this divine presence we feel pious, peaceful and sacred. Our souls are more close to him and we are bound to forget all our routine tensions and stresses of Kaliyug life. It is indeed our pleasure to fulfill our vows in order to satisfy our wishes.
Visiting the places of Pilgrimage leads us to attain Moksha. It is said that if a man dies in the holy town of Varanasi (Kasi) he is sure of reaching Kailasam (Lord Shiva’s abode). He has no rebirth again. Such is the prominence of these pilgrimage places.
The prominent places of worship in and around our Andhra Pradesh are Tirupathi, Varanasi (Kasi) in Uttar Pradesh, Gaya, Prayaga, Kanchi, and Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu, Mantralaya and Shirdi in Maharashtra, The place of Pilgrimage may be better viewed to experience the sanctity and piousness of the place.
